Ebooks are awesome products to sell online. Why do I love ebooks so
much? Well I love them because of the lifestyle that they allow me to
have. I wake up every morning, workout, eat breakfast, and then get
online to do some marketing. And when I come online, the FIRST thing
that I check is my email inbox.
And every morning, I see a lot of "notification of payment received" messages - notifying me that I just made another sale. And I did all of this while I was asleep. Who wouldn't want a lifestyle like this? I know of a lot of people who to try to start a lot of offline businesses because they think that an online business isn't really a business. They perceive it as more of an online chess game. I'm being serious here.
But if you want to start a business online, and want to change your financial future, having belief in yourself is necessary. People will try and talk you out of your dreams, and will tell you to go get a job. It doesn't even have to be a "high paying job". Heck, if you become an assistant manager at the McDonalds, they're proud of that!
It's ridiculous but this is how people think. You need to surround yourself with like-minded business oriented people who will help you and will motivate you to keep going when things get tough. And if you plan on selling ebooks online, you will need this motivation.
In some people's minds, ebooks are cheap and full of nonsense. But if you let people dictate your mindset about selling ebooks online, then you will never have success. People know good and well that ebooks are popular, they're here to stay, and that they are MAJOR.
Let me ask you a question: How many people do you know who has an Amazon Kindle? How many people do you know who has a Nook? How many people do you know who has a Sony eReader? I bet you know a few people who have at least 1 of the 3 devices that I just mentioned. So you more than likely know "somebody" who enjoys purchasing and reading ebooks. And you know what? THESE are the kind of people that you want to sell ebooks to.
I won't get into the specifics of marketing ebooks right now, but you should know that this is a fun business, and if you take it seriously, you will learn to enjoy the marketing part of it. Almost everything that you do to promote your ebook will lead to more traffic to your website, and eventually more sales for you.
Don't get intimidated by the thought of having no success with ebooks. If you want to make this your primary business, then take more time to find out more about it. You will see that there are a ton of perks of doing so, and you won't have to recruit anybody to "spread the word" about your business and add them into your "downline" (lol inside joke).
