If you are thinking about writing your own eBook you must already have an idea.
Your idea can be something you enjoy doing such as a hobby or interest, such as golf, singing, walking, hiking, swimming, or something you know how to do such as write a CV, how to draw, paint or even tie flies for fishing.
When you identify your subject, follow these steps to create your book.
1. Get it on paper - write down your idea in the middle of a piece of paper and using a spider diagram, get everything out of your head related to it and onto the piece of paper. No matter how remotely linked, if you think it, write it down.
2. Put it in order - once you have everything on paper, start to number it in importance. For example, if you are building a treehouse, the plan comes first, then the materials, then the tools and so on.
3. Create your book outline - once in order, get it into a list. This will also form your contents page. Putting the list in order will help you logically order your book so the reader can understand it.
4. Create the body - using the list, add bullet points under each item and then further bullet points under each of these. Keep going until this process is again exhausted and then create sentences and onto paragraphs within each section.
5. Read and proof read - on completing this step, read through the whole book from start to finish. Make corrections. Do a spell check and a grammar check. Make sure it reads logically and make sense.
6. Get someone else to read it - ask a friend or relative to read your book from start to finish, at least twice. Make corrections if needed and get feedback. Does it require more information, more drama, if applicable?
7. Save it - when all corrections have been made and you are confident your eBook is perfect, save the book in Word or PDF format. This makes the book easy to upload for use in ClickBank, eBay, Amazon and also, if PDF formatted, prevents any unauthorised amendments.
8. Sell it - after saving your eBook in PDF format the next step is to decide where you are going to advertise it for sale. Previously when reading many guides for creating and selling an eBook, it has always been advised to create a website with the same title of your eBook in order to generate the best opportunity of your book being found with keywords and optimised by Google. This will therefore require you to create a website and offer your book for sale within it.
9. Promote it - getting people to see your book is available requires driving traffic to your site, if this is the type of business you have. Alternatively, uploading onto Amazon or ClickBank will allow these websites to do the advertising for you. You will have to create an account with each but this takes a matter of minutes.
10. Repeat - on the successful creation and publication of your first eBook, choose another niche market and repeat this process. having 10 books for sale and making two to three sales per day can easily lead to an accumulated income providing you with additional disposable income for you and your family.
