Last year when I was in Uganda, a man told me a story about a gamekeeper
who out ran a hippopotamus. I didn't believe the story at first but
then I looked it up and it turned out to be true
Turns out the guy was a gamekeeper at Murchison Falls National Park... He got a little too close to one of the park hippos. The hippos charged him and the guy had to run for it.
Lucky the gamekeeper was a very good runner and out ran the hippo... Most people wouldn't be able to do that... Hippos have been clocked at speeds of up to 24 Miles Per Hour
Hippos may look like oversized harmless cows to some people, but truth be told they are one of the most dangerous beasts in Africa and kill more humans that any other animal there...
They can weigh up to 9000 pounds and and have teeth that are as sharp as razor blades. These beasts are vegetarians and don't eat people. But they will crush you between their giant jaws. Hippos can cut a crocodile in half in a single bite.
This is what happened to Spencer Tyron, a African hunter who was attacked by a bull hippo. The animal's crushing bite was so powerful it not only sliced Tyron's head off but his shoulders as as well not a good way to go.
Hippos will attack on land... and without warning!
But these days, most attacks from Hippos come in the water when boats get too close to them. There are dozens of videos on Youtube showing this. In one video, we can even see a hippo biting off the cowling of an outboard motor.
In most cases, the driver is able to get away quickly enough, but sometimes the hippo gets the upper hand and tragedy quickly ensues...
This is what happened to a young honeymoon couple from South Africa.
Bruce Simpson and his wife Janice were on safari in Botswana's Okavango Delta. They were traveling in a canoe much like this one with a guide. The canoe came too close to a hippo and was attacked. The hippo tipped the canoe over. He then crushed young Janice between his jaws and bit through her heart and lung. She died instantly.
Even professionals find it difficult to work with Hippos. In 2010 a group of veterinarians were testing a new tranquilizer on Hippo in South Africa. The tranquilizer turned out to be too weak. The animal woke up and attacked one of the doctors. He would have been killed if it had not been for an armed game warden who shot and killed the animal.
Despite all this, some some people think you can befriend a hippo but most times they end up dead wrong... including Marius Els a farmer in South Africa. He raised a young hippo from the age of 5 months. But before it was five years old, it oil led Marius in a vicious attack

How to stop an attacking dog

Shmulik B. a professional dog trainer and an AKBAN academy veteran, http://www.akban.org
- shows how to get an assaulting dog to release its bite. This will
work on any dog, any wolf, any pitbull or mastiff. As long as the dog
needs to breath, pressure his the trachea and block the air passage
through the air pipe. This forces the dog to open it's bite and try to
take some air. Initiate the gag reflex!
Since this is not a blood choke, but an airway choke it will take more then two minutes of complete pressure to make the dog unconscious.
That is a lot of time and long before it the dog will stop it's behavior recognizing you as the alpha and the pack leader.
Shmulik, the guy who is explaining the technique is one of the most decorated dog trainers in Israel, with years of experience with working, police and guard dogs.
I would say that your suggestions about grabbing the legs, kicking, running away etc. does not work and the baseball bat, gun or grenades if you have ones, might hurt the victim too.
This technique is the one dog trainers, all over the world use. Learn it.

Five or so billion years from now, Earth's present orbit won't be a good
place to be as the Sun swells dramatically before dying to its white
dwarf stage. Best hope: Whoever is living here then is smart enough to
move themselves...or move the Earth.

I still have no idea yet what this is...I innocently raised it 12 tones and this is what appeared. I dont mean it to be 'scare-mungoring' its just to my mind (as a musician) it has definite patterns to the ear..whether speech, asteroids, magnetic waves, im not qualified to say, but all I know is...its an interesting pattern...JVD

Judge the sound for yourself, it is a very bizarre anomaly but very much worth investigating.

1) Download and save the original WAV file from NASA/Cassini website:

2)Open an audio editor like Cool Edit or Sonar and raise the pitch/frequency of the file by 12 tones with the pitch shifter..

As white, Christian farmers are driven out of Zimbabwe in increasing numbers, and foreigners move in to replace life-sustaining crops with poppies that now supply 25% of the worlds drugs, famine spreads across the African continent. The undernourished are not limited to Africa, however. A large portion of the worlds 5 billion people suffers from a shortage of food.
4. EARTHQUAKES

The number and intensity of earthquakes this century is at a level higher than any other time in history. A staggering number of seismic events occur around the world daily. The earthquake seismic monitor IRIS shows all major earthquakes for the last year. Indicated by yellow and red circles, the seismic events of the last 15 days provides strong evidence of the fulfillment of Matthew 24:7 in our day. 5. TRIBULATIONS
