New iPhone 5 Features Concept HD

We love ourselves a good concept video, and this one’s as awesome as it is completely off-the-wall. The iPhone 5 concept mockup within the video features some incredible features like fingerprint scanning, wireless/pod-less charging and a Siri assistant that communicates with other smart pieces of technology. Perhaps the most insane feature is the “rubberbanding hardware”. Pinch-to-zoom doesn’t enlarge the video on the display, it enlarges the device and transforms it in to an iPad mini and a full-size mini.

Although it’s crazy sci-fi stuff, it’s good to know people are thinking outside the box on this one. All the “real” rumors are far too dull this year.

Slot Car Gallery

I have been racing and collecting HO scale slot cars since the 1960's, when I purchased my first Aurora Model Motoring set as a young boy. The Ford GT-40 and Lola GT that came with that original Aurora Model Motoring set are long gone now, but my love for the hobby continues to this day. I sell a complete line of slot cars, parts, race sets, track and accessories for all major brands including; Tomy, Aurora, Tyco, Auto World, BSRT and Life-Like. About fifteen years ago I decided to build a dedicated 4-lane HO slot car track, a complete landscaped layout with pit lanes and a large paddock area to display my growing collection of slot cars.

 Since then I have built several other racing circuits and continue to add to my collection of HO scale race cars. This web site is an ongoing project of mine. New sections that focus on HO Slot Car Racing, Collecting, Restoration and Track Layout Design will be added over the upcoming months. If you have suggestions for additional content please feel free to contact me. Garden Route: SOUTH AFRICA TRAVEL

There has been a marked increase in strike action in South Africa in recent weeks, with some demonstrations becoming violent. You should avoid demonstrations, rallies and large public gatherings as a precaution and exercise caution when travelling on highways, where some violence has been directed at truck drivers. Check local media sites for up to date information on strike action or demonstrations that may be taking place in your area. Visitors to South Africa should avoid areas where strikes are underway, particularly in the mining sector, as violence can erupt quickly and may extend beyond the immediate area.

There is an underlying threat from terrorism. Attacks, although unlikely, could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by expatriates and foreign travellers.


Safety and Security - Crime
South Africa has a very high level of crime, including rape and murder (there were several cases of murder involving resident British Nationals during 2009/10). Most cases of violent crime occur in the townships. Consult a reliable tour guide if you visit a township. The risk of violent crime to visitors travelling to the main tourist destinations is generally low. The South African authorities give high priority to protecting tourists. Incidents of vehicle hi-jacking and robbery are common. You should be vigilant of the risks, particularly if driving after dark. Keep to main roads; park in well - lit areas.
